We recently restored two heritage chimneys in Cobourg, Ontario, that were in serious need of repair. The old chimneys were decaying and posed a risk to the homeowner’s safety. We carefully tore down the damaged sections and rebuilt them from the roof up. To ensure an authentic look, we matched both the brick and mortar to the original design. We also replaced the old chimney caps with durable clay flues, which help direct smoke properly and prevent water damage. This restoration not only improved the chimneys' functionality but also preserved the historic character of the home. By the end of the project, the chimneys were strong, safe, and beautifully restored, giving the homeowner peace of mind.
