Before and after of a stone foundation we recently repointed in Newcastle, Ontario.

The original mortar was badly deteriorated, with large gaps and loose joints throughout the foundation. This not only looked rough, but also allowed moisture to get in and start causing further damage over time.

We removed all the failing mortar and repointed the foundation using proper lime mortar. This is the right material for older stone foundations, as it stays breathable and flexible, helping prevent future cracking and moisture issues.

The difference speaks for itself. Clean, solid joints that not only strengthen the foundation but also bring back the original look of the stone.

Repointing is a great way to restore your foundation without the cost of rebuilding.
